Are the samples really free – and how do I order them?
Yes. You can order our free samples directly via the form. Simply select “Sample order”, enter your contact details and the décor you would like.
What do I receive as a sample?
So you can be truly confident in your choice, you receive two complementary sample types free of charge:
- 18 cm profile hand sample: A short section of the decking board as a profile. This lets you assess feel, surface and the wood-look effect realistically – including how the material feels in your hand.
- A4 film sample: You also receive a film sample in your chosen décor in A4 format. This is especially helpful for colour and décor decisions – for example when comparing directly with façade, window frames, front door or garden furniture.
Important: For the film sample you choose one décor to view (5 décors are available in total).
Is dekofloor suitable for barefoot use? And how hot do the boards get in summer?
Yes, dekofloor is designed to stay pleasant even on sunny days: SolShield (SST) reduces excessive heating of the film and substrate – exactly what you feel underfoot in summer on WPC terraces, for example. dekofloor is also splinter-free and therefore more barefoot-friendly than many wood boards, which become rough over time and can splinter.
How much maintenance does dekofloor need?
dekofloor is maintenance-free. That means no oiling, no painting, no refinishing. This is due to the material structure – PVC as the base and the high-performance film are designed for outdoor use. For cleaning, water and a usual detergent such as washing-up liquid is usually enough – depending on how dirty the surface is.
Is dekofloor UV and weather resistant?
Yes, dekofloor is developed for outdoor use and is UV and weather resistant. RENOLIT provides a 10-year warranty on the UV resistance of the film used to coat the boards.
How durable is the surface in everyday use?
dekofloor is scratch and abrasion resistant and designed for long-lasting use outdoors.
Is dekofloor slip-resistant – even when wet?
Yes. dekofloor is designed to be slip-resistant and is suitable for everyday use in wet conditions too.
Is dekofloor water and frost resistant?
Yes, dekofloor is water resistant and frost resistant – suitable for year-round outdoor use. The advantage starts at the base: PVC is unaffected by moisture, so water does not “soak into” the material the way it does with wood, and therefore does not become an ongoing problem.
Is dekofloor suitable near pools or the coast?
Yes, dekofloor is resistant to chlorine, salt and pool chemicals and is therefore also suitable for pool surroundings and demanding outdoor areas. The combination of a PVC base and a coated surface is designed for outdoor conditions where splash water and frequent use are part of everyday life.
How many décors are there – and how do the finishing profiles match?
There are 5 wood-look décors to choose from. Matching finishing profiles are available in all 5 décors – for a harmonious overall look.
Can I install dekofloor myself?
Installation is designed as a weekend project – depending on the size of your terrace, of course. The boards are fixed with a clip system on a substructure, with no visible screws and no special tools.
What substructure do I need?
Very straightforward: the matching substructure is included in the package. You only need a solid, level base – installation is explained step by step in the installation guide.
What does the 10-year warranty cover?
RENOLIT provides a 10-year warranty on the UV resistance of the film. The exact conditions (e.g. proper installation and use) are set out in the warranty documents or available on request.
Is dekofloor also suitable for commercial outdoor areas?
Yes. dekofloor is made for everyday outdoor use and is also suitable for commercial applications such as hotels, restaurants, cafés or outdoor pools – wherever appearance, durability and straightforward use matter.
